About Exelancer

Tip The capital E is three separate bars, a detail that makes even a one-word logo look sci-fi.

Use the Exelancer font for a board or video game title, a sci-fi book cover, a film poster or a tech startup logo. Short words in heavy weights read like a title screen; light weights suit captions and interface labels.

Exelancer is a geometric sans with weights from Thin to Heavy. It is extended, so the letters are wide, and it has alternate letter shapes for headlines. A sheet in the specimens lists the alternates next to the weights, so check it before you set a headline.

The specimens show a space-game world: a line-art starship diagram and a board game mockup with a box, five cards and a “Start the game” headline, so a game’s logo, box and cards come from one family.

For a game, make the title Heavy, the card names Medium and the rules text Regular. For a film poster, set the title in Thin capitals with wide spacing and the credits in Light. A startup logo can set the name in Medium; wide letters look technical without help from an icon.

Exelancer is wide; Exelancer Extra is wider. Use one for the title and the other for a banner or a menu bar, and they will look like parts of one system.
